The couple decided to end their romantic relationship and focus on their business relationship. "Dada is quite brilliant and we were crazy lovers, but I stopped it when we discovered what a strong creative connection we had," Gaga told the Evening Standard in 2010. Williams served as the creative director of Haus of Gaga from 2008 until 2010.

2010: On again with Lüc Carl

Lady Gaga's ex-boyfriend entered the fold again in 2010. The singer expressed her feelings in an interview with Rolling Stone, "I've really never loved anyone like I loved him. Or like I love him." The two parted ways for good in 2011 and Lady Gaga penned "Yoü and I" about their breakup.

July 2011: Lady Gaga meets Taylor Kinney on set

The singer met Taylor Kinney on the set of her music video for "Yoü and I." Kinney, an up-and-coming actor, was cast as her love interest. "We had a good time. I think there was chemistry. We were shooting until 4 or 5 in the morning or something like that. We exchanged information. A few weeks went by and we kept in touch, and then that’s that," Kinney revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

January 2014: The couple goes public

After keeping their relationship mostly under wraps, Lady Gaga and Kinney made a rare appearance together at NBC's 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards after party in January 2014.

February 2015: Kinney pops the question

Kinney proposed to Lady Gaga on Valentine's Day 2015. The actor presented the Queen of Pop with a heart-shaped diamond ring, which he designed with the help of jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

February 2015: Lady Gaga reveals the ring

Still obviously reeling over her recent engagement, Lady Gaga shared a special detail about her diamond ring on Instagram: "My favorite part of my engagement ring, Taylor and Lorraine designed "T 💗S" in white diamonds on the band. He always called me by my birth name. Since our very first date. I'm such a happy bride-to-be! I can't stop smiling!!"

December 2015: Attending the Billboard Music Awards

Kinney joined Lady Gaga later that year at the 2015 Billboard Music awards, where Lady Gaga accepted the Woman of the Year Award.

February 2016: Going to the Oscars

The couple arrives at the 88th Annual Academy Awards, where Gaga was nominated for Best Original Song for "Til It Happens to You" for the documentary film The Hunting Ground.

March 2016: A relationship on the rocks

The couple was all smiles when they made their last public appearance together in March 2016. Lady Gaga's documentary, Five Foot Two, laterrevealed that the couple had been fighting in the months leading to their breakup.

July 2016: Lady Gaga announces their breakup

In a split that no one saw coming, Lady Gaga took to Instagram to announce that after five years together, her and Kinney had decided to end their engagement. Her statement read: "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."

October 2016: The singer releases 'Million Reasons'

A few months later, the singer/songwriter released her fifth studio album, Joanne. One of her new songs was "Million Reasons," a slow, sad ballad fans believe was written about Kinney. Lady Gaga told E! News, "I would just say that my music on my album as well as all my albums is inspired by my personal life and this one more than others."

January 2017: Spotted with Christian Carino for the first time

Lady Gaga and her new talent agent beau were first seen together at a Kings of Leon concert in January 2017. He escorted her a month later to Houston, Texas for the Super Bowl ahead of her halftime performance.

October 2017: Engagement rumors swirl

October 2018: Confirmation of their engagement

Lady Gaga's engagement to Carino went unconfirmed for almost a year, until the "Shallow"singer let it slip when she referred to Carino as her "fiancé" at ELLE's Women in Hollywood gala.

Lady Gaga sparked interest in her personal life, once again, when she was seen leaving a Las Vegas club on New Year's Eve with an unidentified man.

After being spotted spending time together in Miami, Gaga reveals her new beau, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, with this sweet couple pic confirming their relationship on Instagram.

February 2020: A Valentine's Day message

Lady Gaga celebrated Valentine's Day with her new boyfriend and shared this selfie for the occassion.

March 6 2020: Lady Gaga drops the L-word

The singer shared another selfie update on her relationship status with Polansky at the beginning of March. The singer paired this picture on Instagram with the caption, "I've got a STUPID love."
